Sparkling Gemstones

I'm onto my next project already; a quilt!! I am very excited about this as I haven't done one before but it is also slightly daunting. Mum brought me a Moda jelly roll for Christmas and thought it was about time I made a decision on what to do with it; so I've chosen this!

I went to the fabric shop again today (Ill be well known in there before I know it!) to get the extra supplies needed (minus the wadding because frankly that stuff just confuses me - more research needed). Ill be doing the bordering around the jelly roll fabric black instead of white as it will show off the fabrics better and I will also back it with the black (hence why I brought about 200 miles of it!). The two other fabrics in the picture are still Moda fabrics but from a different range, they didn't have the same ones. The blue will be the border round the edge of the blanket (you can't really see from the picture) and then the pink for the binding.

I really wanted to start it today but haven't had chance. Oh well, roll on my next few days off!
